MobileVMS provides access to the Snap Information Technologies Vessel Management System using a mobile device such as an iPhone or iPad as the tracking device.
Coordinates are transmitted back to the Snap VMS server and from there collated and provided as a Geo track on our VMS system.
This app has been developed in conjunction with industry for the intent of conservation and tracking fishing activities for the pursuit of sustainable fisheries. It is to operate in areas of cellular or WiFi coverage and builds on existing fish receiving and documentation processes.
It is expressly not provided for the purposes of safety or search and rescue.
